TCC Plan Change 33 - Enabling Housing Supply

In 2023, I assisted Tauranga City Council with incorporating urban design into the City Plan through Plan Change 33 (PC33) – Enabling Housing Supply. This work saw me build on my involvement in the preparation of the Residential Outcomes Framework (ROF), to align the key outcomes from the ROF with PC33 policy to ensure both documents supported each other to promote high quality residential outcomes in Tauranga. My involvement spanned from inputting into relevant objectives and policies, reviewing proposed rules and drafting matters of discretion, to reviewing and responding to submitter feedback related to urban design. PC33 became operative in 2024.
