Porac Masterplan
AECOM, 2012-2013
In 2012, AECOM undertook the masterplanning of an 891-hectare site near Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines, aiming to create an economic and academic hub in Central Luzon, grounded in sustainability and leveraging the site's pristine natural setting. The masterplan envisioned the Township of Porac as a mixed-use community for 60,000 residents, with over 1,000,000 square metres of commercial space across six districts, addressing challenging topography, ecology, and transportation needs. My role included analysing opportunities and constraints, conducting case study research, developing concept diagrams, calculating density projections, and leading the production of the final report with written and visual content.
